Parking & electric vehicle charging
Confirm your parking option, read street signs and ask before using a charger.

Parking arrangements depend on the property and your reservation. Check the listing and your private arrival instructions before assuming a driveway, garage or charger is included.
Confirm the right space
If parking is offered, ask your host which space is assigned, how to access it, and whether vehicle size, hours or a fee matter. A space that looks empty may belong to someone else. Do not block entrances or use a neighbouring driveway.
Parking on the street
Read every sign covering the space, including time limits, cleaning restrictions and permit zones. Montréal’s parking permit guidance explains that resident-only spaces require an eligible permit. Visitor permit options vary by borough; being a guest does not automatically authorize parking in a restricted space.
If the instructions and signs seem to conflict, ask before leaving the vehicle. Your host can clarify the property’s parking arrangement, but cannot override street restrictions.
Before using an EV charger
Ask whether the charger is available to your reservation, how to activate it, which connector it uses and whether charging has a separate cost. Use only the designated equipment and its instructions. Do not run an improvised extension cable from the apartment or obstruct a walkway.
