Booking & furnished stays
Furnished apartments near Montreal Airport (YUL): booking guide
Compare furnished apartments near Montreal Airport by transfer time, parking, workspace, kitchen, total cost, and early-flight logistics.

A furnished apartment near Montreal Airport is usually the stronger choice when YUL is part of the routine, not just the arrival: an early departure, airport-area assignment, relocation, several flights, a vehicle, or a stay long enough to need a kitchen and laundry. A downtown hotel may still win for a short sightseeing trip whose only airport journeys are arrival and departure.
Before booking, compare the complete door-to-door pattern. Use the YUL transfer guide for the terminal journey, the family and group accommodation guide when several people need real sleeping space, and the temporary-housing checklist when the dates depend on a renovation or insurance file.
If your Laval stay also includes hockey or a concert, the Place Bell accommodation guide helps coordinate check-in, venue parking and the late return.
Which furnished stays can I compare for a YUL trip?
Signature Host’s YUL-trip collection currently contains seven homes in Laval, including Fabreville. It offers a two-guest studio, one-bedroom options and larger homes up to a three-bedroom, eight-guest stay. None is in the airport terminal. Choose a home for its sleeping layout and ordinary days, then verify the airport transfer at your flight time.

The studio and spacious two-bedroom use shared laundry. Fabreville and the three-bedroom Laval home list in-unit laundry. Fabreville’s driveway is reserved for EVs while charging; street parking is listed for other parking needs. Check connector compatibility, availability and charging fees before relying on the charger.
The spacious two-bedroom lists five guests but documents a queen bed and a double bed; its fifth sleeping position needs confirmation. The desk one-bedroom lists three guests but documents one queen bed. Resolve those questions before booking for the maximum group size.
Does the 747 airport bus take me to a Laval apartment?
No. The STM 747 route connects YUL with Montréal’s Lionel-Groulx and Berri-UQAM areas. A Laval journey needs an onward connection and a final local trip. Check the service for your travel date and allow for bags and waiting. A car or door-to-door transfer still needs a route check at the planned hour; no fixed transfer time or property shuttle is established here.
Use the Laval parking comparison when your own vehicle is central to the trip. For a visit focused on the Plateau, compare the Plateau collection with the repeated city journey before deciding that an airport-oriented stay is the better base.
The quick decision
| Stay pattern | Usually prioritize | Confirm before paying |
|---|---|---|
| One-night connection | A dependable terminal transfer and simple late access | Actual pickup point, overnight support, cancellation |
| Early flight | Predictable driving time and no complex morning checkout | Parking, key return, winter conditions, terminal target |
| Airport-area work | Repeated commute, desk, laundry, groceries | Peak-hour route, Internet support, invoice, extension |
| Family visit | Separate sleep, kitchen, parking, luggage space | Bed layout, stairs, child needs, maximum occupancy |
| Relocation or long stay | Daily routine and written total cost | Utilities, cleaning, storage, agreement, date changes |
The label “near YUL” is not enough. Ask for the complete address before the cancellation deadline and map the route at the time you will actually travel.
Measure airport proximity from the correct door
Montreal–Trudeau is in Dorval, and surrounding addresses can sit on different sides of highways, rail lines, and local road networks. Two listings with similar straight-line distance can produce different terminal trips. Test the route to the specific departures or arrivals area, not only to the airport pin on a map.
If the stay includes daily work, map that trip as well. An apartment that saves ten minutes on flight day but adds thirty minutes to every workday is not the more convenient base. When several destinations matter, list the weekly journeys and weight them by frequency.
Public transit can be excellent for some central destinations. The airport’s official guidance says the 747 connects YUL with Lionel-Groulx and downtown and operates around the clock. An airport-area apartment, however, may require a different bus, a car, taxi, or rideshare. Verify the actual local connection rather than assuming every nearby address is on the airport route.
Compare the full stay cost
A nightly headline does not show the business or household total. Ask for one written amount that identifies accommodation, applicable taxes, cleaning, parking, utilities, Internet, deposits or holds, and optional services. Then add the costs created by the location: repeated airport rides, downtown trips, worksite parking, and meals that cannot be prepared.
For a group, compare the apartment total with the number and type of hotel rooms actually required. For a long stay, compare the value of laundry, a full kitchen, storage, and a usable work area—not only floor area. A lower rate can be poor value when the group still buys every meal and pays for daily transport.
Do not infer the agreement from the words “monthly” or “extended stay.” Québec applies specific rules to tourist accommodation offered for stays of 31 days or less, while other arrangements may follow a different framework. Ask the operator to state the agreement that applies to your exact dates and obtain qualified advice if the distinction affects your plans.
Verify that the apartment works after flight day
Airport convenience matters for a few hours; the apartment must work every day. Confirm the current sleeping layout, kitchen equipment, laundry access, storage, climate control, stairs or elevator, work surface, and how maintenance is reported.
For remote work, ask for a current desk photo, chair type, outlet placement, and a second call location if two people work. Keep a mobile backup for a critical meeting. For families, confirm which beds are fixed and which are sofa beds, whether bedrooms close with a door, and where full-size luggage can be stored without blocking circulation.
Groceries and a pharmacy should be evaluated from the apartment door. A nearby highway interchange does not guarantee that daily errands are walkable. If the stay uses a car, verify that the parking space is included, suitable for the vehicle, and available for the full booking.
Build the early-flight plan before arrival
Work backwards from the time the airline or airport asks you to be at the terminal. Add loading, winter clearing, fuel or charging, vehicle return when applicable, the drive, parking or drop-off, and the walk to the correct check-in area. Avoid planning from an optimistic travel-time estimate alone.
The night before departure, confirm the terminal, flight status, road conditions, parking instructions, and checkout sequence. Put keys, passports, bags, and the vehicle plan in one place. If a taxi or rideshare is essential, know the backup before morning; availability can vary with weather and demand.
For a late arrival, reverse the process. Save the address and access steps offline, identify the approved pickup area, and tell the host promptly when a significant delay changes the arrival window.
Ask these questions before booking
- What is the complete address and realistic terminal transfer at my travel hour?
- Is parking included, assigned, and compatible with my vehicle?
- What is the exact sleeping layout for every guest?
- Are kitchen, private laundry, workspace, and utilities included?
- What is the complete price and which agreement applies to these dates?
- How do late arrival, maintenance, extension, and early departure work?
- What should I do if a flight delay changes check-in?
When an airport hotel is the better answer
Choose an airport hotel when the stay is essentially a protected overnight connection, terminal shuttle frequency matters more than apartment space, or hotel services such as luggage holding, a front desk, or on-site food remove the main risk. Choose a furnished apartment when the airport is one part of a longer routine and the guest will benefit repeatedly from a kitchen, laundry, parking, work space, and separate living space.
The right YUL accommodation makes both the travel day and the ordinary weekday easier. Book the address that minimizes the whole stay’s friction—not the listing that simply uses “airport” most prominently.
